Cusco is considered a World Heritage. Cuzco was the center of the great Inca civilization and because of its multiple ruins and monuments, it is the most important tourist center of Peru.

The word CUSCO comes for the Quechua word COSCO, which means bellybutton. According to the mestizo chronicler Inca Garcilazo de la Vega, Cusco means “Center or Bellybutton of the World”.

Weather: Dry and cold with two well-defined seasons. The rainy season runs from November to March and the temperature varies from 11º to 13º Celsius or 52º to 56º F. The dry season starts from April to October, with sunny days and cold nights. With temperature around 9º C or 48º F.
